  The hype was so intense, I didn't want to be let down--I wasn't. I was not invested in it until Salander's scene with her guardian, about 1/3rd of the way through it.   The hype was so intense, I didn't want to be let down--I wasn't. I was not invested in it until Salander's scene with her guardian, about 1/3rd of the way through it. I do want to complete the trilogy, but not yet. I know from experience that I'll appreciate them more if I space them out a bit. Deliberately did not read the prologue for "The Girl Who Played with Fire" that was at the end of the edition I had checked out.
